The Challenge: As a platform handling sensitive operational data, Vybe needed to formalize their security practices and provide enterprise customers with the assurance they needed during due diligence.
The Solution: Probo guided Vybe through the entire SOC 2 lifecycle, from readiness to audit, focusing on structure and proof rather than adding unnecessary complexity.
About Vybe
Vybe is an AI-powered platform that lets companies build secure internal applications in a short time, designed to their needs, simply by describing what they need.
They describe themselves as a mix between Retool and Lovable.
Vybe allows teams to build internal apps in seconds. But unlike many “move fast” platforms, Vybe is designed for real operational environments where sensitive data, compliance, and governance matter.
Co-founded by repeat YC entrepreneurs with deep engineering and product experience, Vybe’s vision is to reshape how internal tools get built, lowering the barrier to app development while maintaining enterprise-grade security and governance.
Moving Fast Is Not Enough
Internal tools sit at the heart of a company’s operations.
Retool has become the default back-office tool in many companies precisely because it handles sensitive data securely. At the same time, many AI-native builders prioritize speed and flexibility, often without the security foundations required for production environments.
To win US customers, and especially to expand toward larger accounts, Vybe needed:
- A strong security signal
- A way to reassure prospects during due diligence
- A structured framework to formalize their security practices
- A compliance foundation that would scale with them
SOC 2 became an obvious step: a way to formalize what they were already doing right and turn it into a real asset in sales conversations.
We’re building infrastructure that sits at the heart of our customers’ operations. Security and trust can’t be optional. We’ve focused on building a secure product from day one. SOC 2 was a way to formalize that.
— Fabien Devos, CTO at Vybe
But building, managing, and passing SOC 2 in-house would have been a heavy lift for a small, fast-growing team. They preferred to focus their resources on building their product.
They needed a partner who could guide and support them through the entire SOC 2 lifecycle: from readiness to audit and provide ongoing support and advice when needed.
Working with Probo: From Good Practices to Formal Maturity
Vybe didn’t need a tool that would overwhelm them with checklists.
They needed clarity.
Fabien Devos, Vybe’s CTO, led the project internally. With a strong technical background and solid security knowledge, he was looking for:
- Clear guidance
- Thoughtful answers to compliance questions
- Help formalizing what was already in place
- Strategic advice on what actually matters
That’s where Probo came in.
Instead of reinventing everything, the process focused on:
- Identifying gaps
- Formalizing policies
- Structuring evidence
- Aligning documentation with real operational practices
Many of the foundations were already there. The work was about structure and proof, not adding unnecessary complexity.
Probo made the SOC 2 process seamless. Their support went way beyond what I expected. It’s the first time I actually enjoyed working on compliance.

A Foundation for Scale
Vybe’s ambition is to redefine how internal tools are built, combining speed and operational reliability.
To do that, trust isn’t optional.
By formalizing their security posture early, they’ve built a foundation that scales with them, supporting their growth in the US and their expansion into Europe.
The Vybe team is now continuing to work on its compliance roadmap with Probo, including GDPR, ensuring that their security standards are properly structured and aligned with the right frameworks, so security never becomes a blocker to growth.
